Personal eligibility and account

These terms govern the Personal service between you and Stack Chum LLC. You must be a United States resident age 18 or older, verify your email and expressly accept these terms. Use your own account and protect its credentials. Business functions require separately authorized access.

Free books and credits

Free Personal accounts include unlimited camera/barcode book additions, ten manually entered ISBNs per UTC day and five research credits per UTC calendar month. You choose books to research. Credits are consumed when usable estimates return; unsuccessful research releases reserved credits. Free credits reset to five each month and do not accumulate. Rechecks become available after 30 days.

One-time credit purchases

A pack contains 50 research credits for $5 USD. This is a one-time purchase, not a subscription or Business upgrade. Free monthly credits are used first; unused purchased credits never expire. Any applicable tax or additional charge must be disclosed before payment. The checkout total is authoritative; do not complete payment if it differs from what you expect.

No discretionary refunds are offered, except payment errors or where required by law. Contact [email protected] about errors or required refunds. Refunds, reversals or disputed payments may remove associated credits; the same payment never grants duplicate credits. Purchased credits are service entitlements, not cash or a transferable currency.

Estimates and your content

SpineValue helps organize books and provides estimates. Estimates are not formal appraisals, guaranteed sale prices or offers to buy. Inspect the edition and physical condition and use your judgment. Some books may not have enough information for an estimate.

You retain rights in content you submit and permit us to process it to provide and maintain the service as described in the Privacy Policy. Do not submit unlawful content, content you lack permission to use, or unnecessary sensitive information. Feedback may inform improvements without a promise that a request will be implemented.

Responsible use and availability

Do not impersonate others, bypass limits, misuse credentials, manipulate value information, attack the service or automate abusive traffic. We may suspend access to protect users or the service, subject to law. Outages, maintenance and incomplete book coverage can occur. We provide clear notice of material prospective changes to the offering and obtain renewed agreement where required.

Inactivity and closure

After 24 months of inactivity, a delivered email gives at least 60 days notice before library cleanup. Signing in cancels cleanup. If unused purchased credits remain, the account and credits are preserved even if its library is removed. Accounts without purchased credits may be deleted after notice.

Self-service deletion in Account Settings requires reauthentication and explicit confirmation of library loss and forfeiture of unused credits. No discretionary deletion refund applies, except where required by law. Pending research, checkouts or financial obligations may need resolution before deletion. Restricted financial/legal records and backups follow the Privacy Policy.

Support and legal rights

Nothing here limits rights, remedies or protections that applicable law does not allow to be limited. These terms impose no mandatory arbitration, waiver of statutory rights or arbitrary liability cap. Changes do not retroactively remove purchased credits or lawful consumer protections.
